Spiral Bowls

Here is another twist on the chip and dip bowl.

After making the bowl, I mark where I am going to cut. I do this while the clay is still wet.

I cut, gradually sloping down, going halfway around the bowl.

I cut a small piece off the end and then curve the cut section into a bowl.

Slip is brushed on to seal the curve to the bowl.

All that is left is to clean up that edge!
